    Summary:

    Our Summer Internship Program is meticulously designed to provide students with an immersive and dynamic experience within our industry, offering a taste of what it's like to be part of our professional team. We strive to simulate a full-time job, enabling our interns to work hands-on with cutting-edge technology, contribute to meaningful projects, build strong relationships with coworkers, and develop strategic problem-solving skills. Our program is highly selective, hosting only a handful of interns each year, ensuring personalized attention and ample opportunities to work closely with AV team members.

     

    We are hiring for various roles and locations throughout the U.S. During the interview process, we will discuss specific details regarding the team and location.

     

    We are seeking a motivated **Manufacturing Training Intern** to support the development and delivery of training programs for aerospace manufacturing. The intern will assist the Training Manager and team in various aspects of training content development, scheduling, tracking, and administration. This internship is a hands-on opportunity to gain exposure to manufacturing processes, adult learning principles, and training systems in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

    Position Responsibilities:

    + Assist in the creation and organization of training materials, including work instructions and presentations

    + Support the scheduling and coordination of on-site training sessions for manufacturing employees

    + Help track training attendance, certifications, and qualification data using training management systems (e.g., LMS)

    + Collaborate with team members and subject matter experts to gather information and update training documentation

    + Participate in the review and improvement of training content to ensure alignment with aerospace standards (e.g., AS9100) and safety protocols

    + Aid in the setup and facilitation of hands-on training sessions

    + Observe and take notes during training sessions to provide feedback and assist with follow-up

    + Support training evaluations and surveys to help measure training effectiveness

    + Assist with general administrative duties related to training and development projects

    + Contribute to the continuous improvement of training processes and documentation

    + Other duties as assigned by the Training Manager

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):

    + Currently pursuing an **Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree** in Training & Development, Industrial Engineering, Human Resources, Education, or a related field

    + Basic understanding of manufacturing environments or processes (through coursework or prior experience)

    + Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

    + Strong organizational and time management skills

    + Effective written and verbal communication abilities

    + Eagerness to learn and contribute in a team-oriented environment

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Experience with or exposure to Learning Management Systems (LMS)

    + Interest in training, instructional design, or workforce development

    + Familiarity with aerospace industry standards or safety procedures is a plus

    + Enthusiasm for working in a manufacturing setting

    + Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures

    Physical Demands:

    + Ability to work in both office and manufacturing floor environments

    + Must be able to sit, stand, and use a computer for extended periods

    Special Requirements:

    + Must be a **U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder), or hold asylee/refugee status** as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)

    + Occasional travel within the U.S. may be required
