Prevention Program Coordinator Northern Rivers Family Services
As a Prevention Program Coordinator, you will oversee a talented treatment team in one or more Prevention programs. These treatment teams provide six to nine months of intensive services to families whose children are either at risk of being removed from their homes or are already in placement. The goals of the program are to prevent out-of-home placement for children with multiple stressors, provide a safe environment to return children already in placement, and prevent future out-of-home placement. You will report to the Program Manager and collaborate with a dedicated supervisory team across multiple programs and counties. You will work a hybrid schedule with a combination of on-site and remote work with travel to clients’ homes. The work schedule is Monday through Friday with flexible scheduling that includes early evenings, to meet the needs of our client families, and a rotating phone supervisor on-call schedule. This is a great opportunity to learn and implement evidence-based practices in trauma- informed care; parent education; child and family well- being; and juvenile justice, and to work with established and newly designed Prevention programming.
Responsibilities: •Manage the home and community-based clinical services (assessment, treatment planning, and counseling), wrap- around intensive case management, and community support with children, caregivers, and families. The level of intensity / number of direct services hours per family is dependent upon the program/ services in which one is employed.•Oversee the implementation of evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Attachment, Regulation, and Competency (our trauma- informed care model)•Complete hiring and orientation of new team members in collaboration with Central Services including Human Resources, and provide direct service provision including when there are team vacancies•Provide weekly management and treatment guidance of program team members•Impromptu and scheduled communication and collaboration with County partners•Complete all necessary documentation including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for the agency and county partners•Review team documentation and client database to ensure accuracy and completion of requirementsRequirements and Education:•Requires a Masters degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or related field;•Preferred 5 years of experience working in the field of Human Services;•License Preferred: LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT;•Must have a valid driver’s license.
