Atlanta Technical College (ATC) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic candidate for its Adjunct Instructor - Business Management (Part-Time) position in the Academic & Student Affairs division, Business Management program. This position is located at Atlanta Technical College’s Main Campus, just south of Downtown Atlanta, Georgia.

Under the general supervision of the Dean of Business & Public Service Technology, the Adjunct Instructor for Business Management (Part-Time) will teach in the Business & Public Service Technology program. The ideal candidate will bring both industry expertise and a deep commitment to technical education.

Job duties and responsibilities include, but may not be limited to, the following:

• Teach courses such as Principles of Management, Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management, and Business Ethics

• Design and deliver engaging, student-centered instruction in face-to-face, hybrid, or online formats

• Create a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment that reflects the diverse background and learning needs of our students

• Incorporate real-world case studies, experiential learning, and culturally responsive pedagogy

• Assess student learning outcomes and provide timely, constructive feedback

• Collaborate with faculty and staff to align curriculum with industry standards and workforce demands

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

COMPETENCIES:

• Skill in developing lesson outlines and materials

• Knowledge of vocational area of assignment

• Skill in presenting subject matter

• Skill in administering tests to evaluate progress

• Skill in the use of computers and job-related software programs

• Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with adult learners

• Oral and written communication skills

• Knowledge of student information systems

• Strong interpersonal skills

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Must possess and demonstrate a Master’s degree in Business (MBA) or a related discipline AND Three (3) years of professional experience in business management or leadership

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Preference may be given to candidates who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess and demonstrate the following:

• Prior teaching experience at the college level

• Familiarity with learning management systems (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard) and instructional technology

* May be required to teach at other locations or other locations in the community. *
