Overview:

One of our top Commercial Insurance clients is looking to add an Underwriting Associate to their Commercial Underwriting team to assist on evaluating risks for workers compensation, small business owners, commercial auto, professional liability and umbrella policies. You will have the opportunity to work directly with brokers, agents and internal stakeholders to manage all applications and gain more knowledge and experience within the field.

Additional Responsibilities Include:

+ Review and analyze insurance applications for accuracy and completeness.

+ Assist in evaluating risk exposures and determining appropriate coverage and pricing.

+ Ensure underwriting decisions align with company policies and regulatory requirements.

+ Maintain accurate records and documentation in underwriting systems.

+ Support underwriters in complex case reviews and decision-making.

+ Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training programs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Analytical Skill - Ability to assess risk, identify patterns, and make data driven decisions.

+ Sound judgement - Applying experience and logic to unique or ambiguous underwriting scenarios

+ Interpersonal Skills - Collaborating with internal teams and maintaining professional relationships

+ Risk Evaluation for various insurance products (e.g., Workers’ Compensation, Commercial Auto, Professional Liability).

+ Policy Review & Processing using internal systems.

+ Attention to Detail in documentation and compliance.

+ Knowledge of Insurance Regulations and underwriting guidelines.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $42640.00 - $55660.00/yr.
