Salary Range: $60,405.80 - $80,000, dependent on years of applicable experience

Reports To: Revenue Manager
Job Summary: The Billing & Accounts Receivable Supervisor is responsible for the financial oversight and coordination of the revenue, payment, reconciliation, and reporting processes across a diverse collection of programs and services within the organization. Additionally, this position supervises the internal billing staff and acts as a liaison with the external billing contractor.
Essential Job Duties:
+ Ensure the timely and accurate preparation and submission of billing claims and anticipated payments.
+ Regular communication with payers (insurance companies, state agencies, etc.) and internal program staff regarding eligibility, billing, and payment issues. Communication with billing software vendors regarding technical issues and configuration needs.
+ Oversight of internal billing staff to include assignment and review of tasks, mentoring, and performance appraisal.
+ Review, reconciliation, and analysis of monthly revenue, utilization, and accounts receivable reports.
+ Processing of billing claims as necessary.
+ Updating of rate and procedure codes as necessary.
+ Review of past due accounts for possible action with collection agency or write off.
+ Resolution of billing/reimbursement issues which get escalated or require the attention or intervention of management.
+ Documentation and implementation of policies and procedures.
+ All other duties as assigned.
Skills:
+ Knowledge of billing of billing regulations and processes. Stays current with industry changes.
+ Professional oral and written communication. Demonstrated capacity to work within all levels of the organization.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
+ Strong detail orientation, time management, and organizational skills.
Minimum Education Required:
+ Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum Experience Required:
+ 5 years medical and institutional billing
+ 3 years supervisory experience
License/Registration/ Certifications Required:
+ CPC preferred.
