We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Deskside Services Level 2 Technician to support IT systems and devices across manufacturing, laboratory, and data center environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with a wide range of IT equipment, strong troubleshooting capabilities, and a deep understanding of regulated environments such as GMP/GxP and clean rooms.

In this role, you will

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

Provide advanced troubleshooting for AV devices including projectors, microphones, speakers, amplifiers, cameras, and displays.

Diagnose and resolve incidents related to IT devices and mobility management.

Support hardware/software installation and configuration for usability by end users.

Offer L1-level troubleshooting for network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points).

Ensure continuity of print services and monitor printer usage (e.g., Zebra printers).

Manufacturing & Lab IT Support

Support IT systems and devices used in manufacturing lines, labs, and clean rooms.

Handle specialized equipment such as rugged tablets, scanners, and PCs attached to test equipment.

Understand and comply with GMP/GxP protocols and clean room entry procedures.

Infrastructure & Data Center Operations

Provide Smart Hands and Feet support for technology teams.

Perform rack and stack operations for commissioning/decommissioning infrastructure devices.

Manage power shutdown maintenance activities for network devices and servers.

Coordinate cable patching and physical access for vendors in IDF/MDF/MMR and data center/server rooms.

Asset Lifecycle Management

Oversee IT asset lifecycle including collection, secure storage, labeling, imaging, allocation, recovery, hygiene validation, disposal, and system updates.

Maintain accurate asset records and coordinate with vendors for logistics.

Compliance & Safety

Always adhere to safety training and PPE requirements.

Follow change control procedures for system maintenance and patching.

Ensure no unauthorized reboots or maintenance in regulated environments.

Apply 5S (LEAN) or similar methodologies in IT rooms and data centers.

Collaboration & Communication

Work closely with cross-functional teams (Network, Server, OEMs) to resolve high-priority issues.

Proactively support P1/P2 events with spares, crash carts, and rapid response.

What you’ll need to succeed (required skills)

+ Proven experience in supporting manufacturing/lab IT systems and devices.

+ Strong knowledge of GMP/GxP compliance and clean room protocols.

+ Advanced troubleshooting skills across AV and IT hardware.

+ Familiarity with data center operations and infrastructure support.

+ Excellent communication and coordination skills.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft technologies, including server support.

+ Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and safety.

Preferred skills: what will help you stand out

+ Experience in a regulated manufacturing or lab environment.

+ Knowledge of asset management tools and ITIL practices.

+ Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

+ Safety-conscious with experience in handling IT equipment logistics.
