    Liaison Officer – Public Trust Clearance | Lexington, KY

    We are currently seeking a Liaison Officer to support operations in Lexington, KY. This is a full-time CONUS position requiring an active DoD Public Trust clearance. This position is contingent upon contract award with an expected award date of December 2025.

    What You’ll Do

    + Develops, plans, and/or coordinates various system-wide district activities (e.g., community outreach, media/public relations functions, etc.) for the purpose of enhancing district/community relationship.

    + Connects special populations with government services or community support programs.

    + Schedules outreach meetings with local community members to discover their issues and concerns.

    + Promotes grassroots marketing initiatives is a key task for community liaisons.

    + Perform marketing and sales-related functions such as hosting events, making presentations, calling clients. Their marketing activities help develop strong and lasting relationships on behalf of their organization.

    + Interfaces with communities and openly representing an organization among public officials, businesses, other agencies, news outlets, and the general public is another responsibility of community liaison.

    + Takes charge of planning, preparing, and distributing written press releases.

    + Overall, goal is to increase public awareness of the organization’s activities in favorable way.

     

    What You’ll Bring

    Required Qualifications:

    + Education & Experience:

    + Bachelor's Degree in a Science or Technical Field

    + Minimum of 3+ years of military experience as a service member of as a Department of Defense civilian.

    + Technical Expertise:

    + Builds and maintains mutually beneficial relationships.

    + Facilitates communications and coordinates activities between agencies or organizations.

    + Streamlines operations and coordination efforts to incident responses.

    + Serves as a technical or subject matter expert for the organization.

    + Serves as the point of contact for an organization during major events or emergency situations

    + Is responsible for coordinating multi-agency responses.

    + Serves as contact point for organizational personnel, facilitates meetings and cooperation among organizations,

    + Identifies and resolves problems in communications.

    + Certifications:

    + Must have a current and active DoD Public Trust security clearance with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

    + Proficient with modern IT tools and infrastructure technologies

    Travel & Passport

    + Some overnight stays possible.

    Work Environment

    + Compliance with vaccination and medical requirements for TDY/OCONUS roles as per Vaccine Recommendations by AOR | Health.mil.

    Office setting:

    + Primarily an office-based role in Lexington, KY

    + Standard desk/computer work with flexibility for walking and movement on site

    + Must be able to work in an office environment, sitting at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday.

    + Work is physically comfortable; the employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.

    + May be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site.

    Background & Security

    + Employment is contingent upon successful background investigation

    + Drug screening may be required for federal contract compliance
