Roles and Responsibilities

+ On site role, mix of lab and office environments. Placed with our Platform Systems Engineering group supporting technology development in capillary electrophoresis, microarray, and qPCR based diagnostics

+ Collaborate with the R&D team to conduct development for next generation diagnostics instrumentation and workflows

+ Design-prototyping, systems integration, debugging complex breadboard systems (optical, electrical, mechanical, fluidics, software, firmware)

+ Perform root cause analysis and refine breadboards and prototypes to meet performance targets

Preferred Qualifications

+ Experience in prototyping, systems integration, and debugging complex systems

+ Knowledge of genetics tools and workflows (e.g. Sanger sequencing, qPCR, NGS, DNA synthesis)

+ In progress Masters or PhD program in engineering or related discipline preferred

+ In person role; South San Francisco with flexibility to commute Bay Area

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay range estimated for this position Sr Intern based inCalifornia is $14.75–$55.00.
