    Safety Co-Op

     

    Scot Forge Company is looking to hire 2 Safety Interns, one in each Spring Grove, IL and Clinton, WI locations. This Co-Op is available from June 2026 to December 2026. A Safety Co-Op at Scot Forge will offer a student the opportunity to practice occupational safety theory in a real-world setting.

    Anticipated Projects include:

    + Administering the safety management system to ensure a safe work environment

    + Help to improve safety metrics including the coordination of programs to prevent incidents

    + Learn safety practices and principles of a manufacturing environment

    + Deliver a formal presentation to leadership on key project accomplishments

    + Update policies, procedures and records

    Qualifications:

    + Enrolled in Bachelor or Master degree program in Occupational Safety or Environmental Engineering, Junior standing or above.

    + Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

    + Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal

    + Knowledge of Safety & Environmental regulations and safety management principle

    + Ability to recognize problems/ hazards, analyze them, and offer solutions using proven safety/ incident investigation analysis tools.

    Additional Requirements

    + Must be authorized to work anywhere in the U.S. without sponsorship

    + Must be able to pass a 90 day head hair drug test.
