About the Role:
TAI Engineering is seeking a Mechanical/Clean Utilities Engineer with at least five years of experience, preferably within the biotech or pharmaceutical industries, to join our on-site team. The ideal candidate will be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for supporting the startup, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance of the facility's mechanical and clean utility systems. This role requires a detail-oriented problem-solver who can collaborate effectively and lead work packages for crucial building systems.

Here’s a glimpse into your day to day:
+ The Mechanical/Clean Utilities SME may be responsible for making departmental decisions concerning maintenance and repair of the building clean and dirty infrastructure and equipment and providing input to the Facilities & Engineering Management team when contributing to the decision-making process for items affecting the site as a whole.
+ Ensures compliance with engineering, SHE and work standards and associated procedures, to ensure the assets meet business needs and satisfies external regulators.
+ Coordinates with Customer teams on the permitting of planned assets including all new or enhanced utility supplies.
+ Work with SME’s, Suppliers & Procurement to develop recommended spare parts list and cost estimate.
+ Actively manage supplier/ vendor performance to meet project quality, costs and schedule. And supports wider supplier relationship management activities including escalation.
+ Active participant of Mechanical Completion walkdown and follow up on closure of punch items recorded.
+ Assist C&Q team in system start-up, commissioning and qualification of systems and co-ordination of supplier/ vendor.
+ Management the system lifecycle documentation including as-built drawings and O&M package with supplier/ vendor in a timely manner.
+ Management of FAT and SAT events and documentation. Follow up on closure of deviations recorded from FAT and SAT.
You’ll be a perfect fit if you have:
+ Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
+ 5+ years of mechanical design engineering experience
+ 3+ within the Pharma/Biotech/Life Science industry.
+ Professional Engineer license is desired.
+ Strong collaborator with ability to create and maintain effective working relationships and willing to challenge behaviors and actions.
+ Demonstrated practitioner of practical problem-solving.
+ Detail focused completer/finisher with a results-orientated mindset.
+ Strong leadership qualities with motivational ability to direct others in a dynamic and complex environment through change.
+ Collaborate and work in partnership with multiple customer teams to deliver program/project objectives,
+ High professional standards, holding themselves and others in the team to deliver high quality outcomes to committed deadlines.
+ Works with integrity and tenacity to ‘do the right thing’ even under challenging situations.
Compensation and Benefits:
+ Pay: $110,000-165,000 (based upon experience)
+ Annual Profit Sharing Bonus (variable)
