If you enjoy combining the creativity of writing with the technical aspects of crafting clear and compelling client proposals, YesCare is seeking an experienced Senior Clinical Proposal Specialist. You will be collaborating with the company’s subject matter experts and senior leadership to develop and tailor our proposals to provide RFP-compliant responses that reflect the company’s commitment to providing quality healthcare to our Community and State correctional healthcare partners. Multi-tasking in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment, as well as the proven ability to quickly adapt to shifting priorities and workflow, is key to being successful in this position.

1. Manages and coordinates the proposal development process with Business Development from the pre-RFP release through the bid/no bid decision process to the final proposal submission and post-award review.

2. Collaborates with Business Development, Clinical, Operations, Behavioral Health, and other key Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to identify strategic win themes and proposal deliverables.

3. Writes and edits the proposal’s technical response to ensure each proposal section is developed in compliance with the RFP specifications and incorporates YesCare’s best practices and standards.

4. Meets proposal deadlines by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, and approval.

5. Coordinates responses with SMEs and other contributors.

6. Conduct clinical discovery conversations with current site/regional leadership (rebids) to understand current practices, challenges and opportunities for improvement.

7. Utilize clinical knowledge from clinical discovery, assist in the delivery of competitive clinical solution differentiation and business value messaging.

8. Attend pre-bid conferences and tours, as needed, to assess clinical capacity, expectations, environment, culture, equipment, etc.

9. Review previous YesCare RFP responses, as well as competitor responses, to evaluate potential areas that impacted the win/loss of the contract(s.)

10. Review competitor RFP language to evaluate market trends, opportunities for differentiation and competitor offerings.

11. Participates in individual and group proposal reviews with Business Development, SMEs, and senior leadership; incorporates changes and improvements to proposals.

12. Develops and maintains SharePoint team sites for bids.

13. Develops and maintains proposal content library on Sharepoint for ongoing use.

14. Determines the use of graphics and data proof points in the body of the proposal.

15. Proofreads completed proposals.

16. Works with Sales Coordinator to address the proposal production schedule and the development of binder graphics.

17. Assists in completion of other business development projects on an as-needed basis.

18. Assists the Vice President of Proposal Management with duties including, but not limited to, assigning RFPs to writers, reviewing proposal drafts, analyzing competitive bids, assisting proposal writers, and other duties as assigned.

19. Oversees the management of the RFP monitoring (Onvia, county/state websites, etc.) with the Proposal Coordinator.

Key Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s in Journalism, English, Business, or Marketing with a minimum of 4 years' experience in healthcare related field OR a degree in nursing or psychology with a current LPN or RN, or LPC/LCSW licensure with a minimum of 4 years' experience with technical writing.

2. Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in developing comprehensive proposals in response to government issued Request for Proposals (RFP) or grant writing for federal, corporate or non-profit organizations.

3. Strong MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel) proficiency.

4. Strong verbal and written and presentation communication skills.

5. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to peers, executives, and field leadership.

6. Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.

7. Excellent project and time management skills.
