    The Air Defense Ground Equipment (ADGE) Department leads mechanical design, development, and integration of platform systems. This includes shelter systems, hardware integration, and cable & interconnections. The department is comprised of individuals with technical expertise and experience in hardware design, integration, and production support.

     

    The department is seeking a Mechanical Engineering intern to support design and development efforts in such areas as mechanical systems, thermal systems, materials, test equipment, hardware processes, or manufacturing processes. The position is for an ON-SITE role within the ADGE Team in Tewksbury, MA. You would apply your skills to contribute to the design, development and testing of mechanical and/or electro-mechanical systems, instruments, controls, and/or machines.

    What You Will Do

    + Training and application of RTX tools including CREO and PDM

    + Design and Documentation support utilizing engineering tools, Adobe, and MS office suite.

    + Engineering Change and Drawing Release

    + Analytical and Technical engineering work within a program environment with possible presentations on designs as needed.

    + Training in Raytheon processes and procedures

    Qualifications You Must Have

    + This position is for an intern who is enrolled in a Bachelor’s (or higher) degree program and will be at minimum, entering their _Sophomore_ year by the start of summer 2026

    + Must be pursuing as Bachelors or graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

    + Experience utilizing CAD (Computer Aided Design) tools such as CREO or equivalent

    Qualifications We Prefer

    + 3.5 or above cumulative GPA desired

    + Prior engineering project or internship experience

    + Excellent written and oral communication skills

    + Microsoft Office or other presentation tools

    The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

     

    RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

     

    This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
