he Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central School District is seeking dependable and flexible Substitute Food Service Workers to join our school cafeteria team. Substitutes play an important role in supporting daily cafeteria operations, ensuring that students receive healthy, nutritious meals in a clean and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities:

+ Assist with preparation, cooking, and serving of meals to students and staff.

+ Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.

+ Set up, restock, and clean serving areas.

+ Wash dishes, utensils, and maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen and cafeteria areas.

+ Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures.

+ Provide friendly, courteous service to students, staff, and visitors.

+ Perform other duties as assigned by the Food Service Manager or designee.

Qualifications:

+ High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

+ Prior food service or cafeteria experience helpful, but not required.

+ Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team.

+ Must be reliable, punctual, and flexible with work assignments.

+ Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds.

Work Schedule & Pay:

+ On-call, as needed basis.

+ Flexible hours depending on school schedules.

+ Competitive hourly rate.
