Overview

BigBear.ai is seeking a Database Engineer 2 to join and assist and meet mission needs for our government customer. This role will be performed onsite at the assigned customer location.

What you will do

+ Monitor databases and related systems to ensure optimized performance.

+ Support agile activities for systems including release planning, sprint planning, and retrospectives to gather and incorporate lessons learned into engineering processes.

+ Model data to design local schemas, tables, data types, indexes, procedures and functions

+ Work with developers during the normal application development life cycle to build features that deliver value to our customers

What you need to have

+ Bachelor's Degree and 5 to 8 years of Database experience

+ Clearance: TS/SCI w/Poly

+ Database experience using MongoDB or MariaDB, Including: •deployment and management of the database itself •debugging of optimization issues •scaling

What we'd like you to have

+ Python, Django or Flask

+ ReST Endpoint Development

+ Micro-Service Model

+ Swagger

+ AWS, C2S or other cloud experience

+ Docker

+ Visual Studio Code or similar IDEs, JSON and/or XML serialization

+ Jira, Confluence

+ Git version control

+ Experience working in Agile environment
