    Job Title: Supervisor and Operator

    Job Description

    Join our team as a Supervisor and Operator where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our distribution warehouse. Your primary duties will include picking orders, operating forklifts, and performing general shipping and receiving tasks. Your expertise in handling equipment and ensuring product quality is vital to our success.

    Responsibilities

    + Pick orders off racks using RF scanning technology.

    + Operate a forklift for approximately 70% of the tasks, with the remaining 30% dedicated to general shipping and receiving duties.

    + Load trucks, ensuring accurate and efficient handling.

    + Shrink wrap and break down pallets as needed.

    + Ensure product quality is acceptable for shipping and meets process standards.

    + Follow directions and procedures meticulously without deviation.

    + Perform duties assigned by supervision and adapt to daily work assignments.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum of 1 year experience as a Forklift Operator in a distribution warehouse setting.

    + Proficiency with RF Scan gun usage.

    + Capability to lift up to 2500 lbs within 15’ rack positions and up to 50 lbs regularly.

    + Experience with sit-down forklifts, preferably previously certified.

    + Experience with 2-prong forklifts.

    + Knowledge of WMS systems.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Food handling experience is a plus.

    + Experience in loading 53' trailers is advantageous.

    + Proficiency in material handling, picking, packing, and computer operation.

    + Prior shipping experience and use of scan guns.

    + Reliable transportation is required.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a climate-controlled warehouse and distribution center. The standard work hours are Monday through Friday from 6 AM to 2:30 PM. Enjoy a structured work environment where safety and efficiency are prioritized.

    This is a Contract position based out of Chesapeake, Virginia.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
