    Job Title: Manufacturing Technician

    Job Description

    As a Manufacturing Technician, you will play a crucial role in operating key machinery such as the winder, grinder, and boring machines. You will maintain a solid understanding of various raw materials and their appropriate manufacturing locations. Your keen attention to detail will be vital as you monitor machine operations, detect malfunctions, and ensure product quality.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate and set up machinery including winders, grinders, and boring machines.

    + Monitor machine operations, observing lights and gauges to detect malfunctions.

    + Check and ensure the quality of products by examining, measuring, and weighing materials.

    + Inform the shift supervisor about any product quality issues, equipment problems, or safety concerns.

    Essential Skills

    + Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues using various hand and power tools.

    + Proficient in reading tape measures and performing basic math.

    + Experience in running production lines and understanding machine operations.

    + At least 1 year of experience in machine operating, manufacturing, repair, and troubleshooting.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in quality control.

    + Industrial forklift experience.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment is a brand new and clean facility in downtown Charleston, located along the Cooper River. The facility is non-climate controlled. You will work a rotating schedule of 15 days per month, with shifts alternating every four weeks between day and night (7am-7pm/7pm-7am). The schedule involves working 7 days on and 7 days off, with weeks alternating between 48 and 36 working hours.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of CHARLESTON, South Carolina.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
