Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Flowood, Mississippi. In this role, you will handle essential financial functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in processing invoices and payments. This is a long-term contract position, offering an excellent opportunity for stability and growth.

Responsibilities:

• Process and enter vendor invoices accurately to ensure timely approval and payment.

• Reconcile vendor statements regularly and address any billing discrepancies.

• Prepare and execute check runs, electronic payments, and credit card transactions.

• Maintain well-organized records of accounts payable and payment activities.

• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve payment-related issues.

• Monitor invoice coding and ensure compliance with company standards.

• Assist in maintaining the efficiency of the accounts payable workflow processes.

• Generate reports related to payables and provide insights for financial planning. Requirements • Strong experience in accounts payable processes, including invoice coding and check runs.

• Proficiency in handling invoice processing and reconciliation tasks.

• Familiarity with electronic payment systems and credit card transactions.

• Excellent organizational skills to maintain accurate financial records.

• Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams.

• High attention to detail and a commitment to meeting deadlines.

• Proficiency in accounting software and general computer applications.

• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
