Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team on a contract basis in Warwick, Rhode Island. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong technical accounting background and expertise in construction project accounting. The ideal candidate will also have a high level of proficiency with advanced Microsoft Excel functionalities.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee accounting operations related to construction projects, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of financial data.

• Perform complex reconciliations and ensure compliance with technical accounting standards.

• Manage grant administration processes, including tracking federal and state funding requirements and preparing financial reports.

• Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel skills to analyze data, create reports, and optimize workflows.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of accounting processes with project activities.

• Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations and standards governing construction and grant accounting.

• Work with various accounting software systems to streamline operations and enhance data accuracy.

• Conduct audits to ensure financial records are accurate and adhere to established policies.

• Handle accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing and resolution of discrepancies.

• Provide detailed financial insights to support decision-making and project management.

Requirements • Extensive experience in construction project accounting, with a focus on technical accounting practices.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to use complex formulas and perform detailed data analysis.

• Solid understanding of grant administration, including compliance with federal and state funding regulations.

• Familiarity with accounting software systems such as ADP, BlackLine, Concur, and ERP platforms.

• Proven ability to manage accounts payable and receivable processes effectively.

• Strong auditing skills to ensure compliance and accuracy of financial records.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented approach.

• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and adapt to dynamic project needs.
