    Role Overview

     

    The Administrative Assistant will provide direct support to the Executive Director during a maternity leave coverage. The assignment length is undetermined and may last anywhere from two weeks or longer, with the possibility of transitioning into a contract-to-hire position. This role is essential in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, managing communications, and supporting organizational initiatives.

    Key Responsibilities

    Manage the Executive Director’s calendar, scheduling, correspondence, and travel logistics.

     

    Provide logistical and administrative support for conferences, events, and meetings, including preparation of materials and communication with participants.

     

    Oversee incoming communications (email, phone, mail) and ensure timely responses or delegation as appropriate.

     

    Draft, edit, and format documents, reports, and presentations.

     

    Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to meet organizational priorities.

     

    Handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.

     

    Support general office operations as needed.

    Qualifications

    Experience as an Executive Assistant, Administrative Assistant, or in a similar role preferred (entry-level candidates with strong organizational skills may be considered).

     

    Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.

     

    Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

     

    Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and familiarity with virtual meeting platforms.

     

    Experience supporting conferences or large-scale events is a plus.

     

    Familiarity with or experience in Native American culture, communities, or organizations strongly preferred.

     

    Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

     

    Temporary placement with an undetermined duration that may extend.

     

    Potential to transition into a contract-to-hire role.

     

    Hands-on experience working directly with executive leadership.

     

    Requirements • Proven experience as an Executive Assistant, Administrative Assistant, or similar role; entry-level candidates with strong organizational skills may be considered.
