    Job Title: Test Technician

    Job Description

    Perform hands-on testing, data collection, analysis, and documentation. Tasks include mechanical assembly/disassembly, inspection, use of test equipment, rope rigging, and collaboration with New Product Development, Quality Engineering, and Product Management teams. This may involve climbing a ladder for drop testing of their product to understand the strength and integrity of the product from various heights.

    Responsibilities

    + Conduct mechanical assembly and disassembly of prototypes.

    + Perform inspections and maintain and calibrate test equipment.

    + Engage in hands-on testing and data collection using custom and standardized equipment.

    + Analyze data and document findings accurately.

    + Read and interpret engineering drawings for project requirements.

    + Participate in new product development projects.

    Essential Skills

    + Mechanical aptitude with the ability to assemble/disassemble prototypes.

    + Experience in mechanical testing and troubleshooting.

    + Proficiency in data analysis and documentation using MS Office, particularly Excel and Word.

    + Ability to perform hands-on physical testing and data collection.

    + Proficiency in LabView for data acquisition.

    + Effective communication skills, capable of presenting complex information.

    + Ability to work effectively as part of a team and adapt to shifting priorities.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Experience in SolidWorks is a bonus.

    + Prior hands-on technical or lab testing experience.

    + Strong problem-solving skills.

    Work Environment

    Work takes place in an on-site office and laboratory setting. Frequent use of the test lab is required, with strict adherence to lab safety protocols. The environment is collaborative, with a focus on teamwork and adaptability to shifting priorities. The role involves physical work at height and requires lifting.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
