Responsibilities Serving as a Lead Facilities Project Manager GS-1601-12/13 makes you a valuable member of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) team and mission. This position is located in the Mission and Readiness Support Directorate, with Artesia Administration Division. Typical duties include: Communicates and reports progress to the team on assignments, projects, program issues, milestones and deadlines for completion. Identifies and validates training and training support facilities and infrastructure requirements to meet scheduled and potential training in support of the organization's strategic and operational plan, vision and values and integrates these in the work plans and objectives. Coordinates periodic inspections of facilities, planning the need and timing of repairs, prepares cost estimates and sets budget priorities to obtain funding and implement projects. Plans for overall program requirements including the following activities: budgeting and materials for major repairs and alterations, and job order work Advises the Division Chief on the implications and feasibility of facility plans, proposals and recommendations. The SPF for this position is: You must possess and maintain Federal Acquisition Certification - Contracting Officer Representative (FAC-COR) Level II certification; or have the requisite experience to obtain and maintain certification. (Please submit a copy of your certificate with your application.) Must be able to obtain and maintain FAC-COR Level III certification. Specialized Experience: You qualify for the GS-12 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal government, performing duties such as: Serving as a team leader providing direction, planning, and coordinating facilities maintenance, repair, and construction to support programs. Specialized Experience: You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal government, performing duties such as: Serving and coordinating for facilities maintenance, repair, and construction activities. Participating in the development of plans and specifications for repairs, improvements, construction projects, and other job work orders to support programs. All requirements must be met by the closing date of the announcement.
