Quality Assurance Analyst – U.S. Army Equipment Turn-In Site
The Quality Assurance Analyst supports the Quality Assurance Manager and Site Supervisor in ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards, contractual requirements, and U.S. Army regulations for equipment turn-in operations. The QA Analyst performs inspections, audits, and data analysis to verify accuracy of records, accountability of equipment, and compliance with Army supply, maintenance, and property accountability procedures. This role helps ensure smooth turn-in operations, proper documentation, and government acceptance of equipment.
Responsibilities
+ Quality Assurance & Compliance:
+ Conduct inspections of equipment turn-in processes to verify compliance with Army regulations (e.g., AR 710-2, AR 735-5, DA PAM 710-2-1, and applicable TMs).
+ Validate that all equipment, components, and basic issue items (BII) are properly accounted for prior to turn-in.
+ Review records, condition codes, and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness.
+ Monitor site operations for compliance with ISO 9001:2015 QMS procedures.
+ Auditing & Reporting:
+ Assist in conducting internal audits of supply and property accountability records.
+ Document findings, prepare quality reports, and submit recommendations for corrective and preventive actions.
+ Track and follow up on non-conformance reports until closure.
+ Support government inspections and acceptance processes during turn-in.
+ Data & Records Management:
+ Maintain accurate QA documentation, inspection checklists, and audit reports.
+ Verify that equipment transactions are properly documented in Army logistics systems (e.g., GCSS-Army, LMP).
+ Support accountability of government property by maintaining traceable records of inspections.
+ Process Improvement:
+ Identify inefficiencies or risks in the turn-in process and recommend corrective actions.
+ Support the QA Manager in implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance compliance and efficiency.
+ Provide feedback to supervisors and staff on recurring quality issues.
+ Training & Awareness:
+ Assist in training site personnel on quality procedures, turn-in standards, and documentation requirements.
+ Promote a culture of compliance, accuracy, and accountability across all equipment turn-in functions.
Qualifications
+ Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business, Quality Management, or related field (preferred). Equivalent military experience accepted.
+ 2–4 years of experience in quality assurance, logistics, or supply operations.
+ Prior military logistics/property accountability experience preferred.
+ Familiarity with U.S. Army equipment turn-in procedures required.
+ ISO 9001:2015 quality standards.
+ Army supply/property accountability regulations (AR 710-2, AR 735-5, DA PAM 710-21).
+ Army logistics IT systems (e.g., GCSS-Army).
+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
+ Ability to analyze data and prepare detailed quality reports.
+ Good communication and teamwork skills to interact with Army officials and contractor personnel.
+ A Real ID will be required.
+ A valid driver's license for the state of Colorado will be required w/proof of vehicle insurance.
