    Job Duties and Responsibilities

     

    As the HR Operations Manager, you will lead the HR Operations team, the frontline resource for employees navigating HR processes. You’ll oversee a team delivering accurate, timely, and employee-focused support on benefits, payroll, time away, HR system updates, I-9s, unemployment claims, general annual review inquiries, and vendor purchase order workflows. This is your opportunity to shape a seamless employee experience while ensuring operational excellence and compliance at scale.

     

    This role combines hands-on leadership with strategic vision. You’ll coach and inspire your team, partner with HR, Payroll, IT, and business leaders, and drive continuous improvement through data, automation, and streamlined workflows. Acting as the point of escalation for complex issues, you’ll bring clarity and confidence to the employee journey while enhancing the efficiency and impact of HR service delivery.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Lead the HR Operations team to deliver efficient, compliant, and employee-focused support across the organization

    + Oversee day-to-day operations of Supervisors and Associates handling inquiries about benefits, payroll, time away, HR system/profile updates, I-9s, annual review and goal-setting processes, and vendor purchase order workflows

    + Foster a positive, high performing team culture through clear expectations, regular coaching, and support for individual growth and development

    + Act as the point of escalation for complex or sensitive employee inquiries, ensuring timely, compliant, and employee-centric resolutions

    + Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence, HR Business Partners, Payroll, IT, and vendors to harmonize processes and align services with business needs

    + Analyze operational data and employee feedback to improve processes, reduce manual work, and leverage automation where possible

    + Align service delivery with business needs by meeting the business where they are, identifying opportunities for cost saving

    + Travel up to 25% of the time to support team development, stakeholder meetings, and organizational initiatives

     

    Skills, Experience and Requirements

    Education and Experience

    + Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred

    + 5–7+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in HR Operations, Shared Services, or similar environments

    + 2+ years of experience managing and developing teams in an HR service delivery setting

    Skills and Qualifications

    + Strong knowledge of HR operations, systems, policies, and compliance requirements

    + Proven ability to lead, develop, and inspire high-performing teams

    + Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills

    + Ability to collaborate effectively across HR, business leaders, and stakeholders to align service delivery with organizational goals

    + Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex processes clearly

    + Proficiency in HRIS, case management systems, and productivity tools, with understanding of ServiceNow, Oracle, UKG, and Workday strongly preferred

    + Experience with process improvement methodologies, automation, and/or project management is a plus

    Salary Ranges

     

    Compensation: $83,950.00/Year - $119,900.00/Year

    The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
