    We are seeking an Electronics Technician to join our team. This person will work as a member of a highly skilled cross functional team to provide technical expertise for computer electronic components as part of the C5ISR’s Replication Evaluation and Mitigation Branch. Your experience will be used to create tools, training aids and other technical resources for U.S. Military service members and first responders. You will also work to replicate threats for training and evaluation to help build mitigation strategies that will be integrated with the U.S. Military. Your team will use cutting edge technology to further innovation for the U.S. Army’s Research Development Training and Evaluation (RDT&E) effort.

     

    This role requires a highly skilled technician to perform validation and regression testing, including simulations, laboratory assessments, and field system testing. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in RF systems, analog and digital electronics, and experience in field support operations.

     

    This position operates on a multi-year program.

    Responsibilities

    + Embark on thrilling overseas deployments, tackling exciting challenges in critical intelligence communities.

    + Dive deep into electronic analysis of target devices, unraveling their mysteries from basic signaling to advanced modifications.

    + Craft compelling reports and briefings, showcasing your expertise in characterization, vulnerabilities, and exploitation recommendations.

    + Team up with brilliant engineers and subject matter experts to solve complex problems and respond to RFIs.

    + Stay at the forefront of technology by researching emerging techniques and conducting laboratory-based analyses.

    + Capture, characterize and identify electrical/electronic RF receiver and transmitter modules, operating frequencies and power.

    + Identify electronic components visually, conduct research, provide information, develop accurate schematics of electronics systems using provided tools and techniques.

    + Analyze, demodulate and decode signals in order to extract intelligence data and develop standardized demodulation and decoding tools and techniques for commonly encountered signals.

    + Perform electronic data recovery on various devices using state-of-the-art forensic tools, such as XRY, Cellbrite and Graykey.

    + Create engaging technical reports on captured data.

    + Maintain meticulous chain of custody and expertly handle evidence to ensure forensic integrity.

    OPERATING HOURS AND EXPECTATIONS:

    + This position operates onsite on a standard 8 hour schedule Monday - Friday.

    TRAVEL:

    + The position may require some travel, six (6) month OCONUS deployments.

    Qualifications

    CLEARANCE:

    + Active and current TS/SCI. This position is not open for clearance sponsorship, upgrade, or reactivation.

    EDUCATION:

    + BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field with 3 years of experience; **OR**

    + Associate degree and five (5) years of experience; **OR**

    + High school diploma or GED and six (6) or more years of relevant experience;

    CERTIFICATION(S):

    + None

    REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

    + Extensive demonstrated experience in electrical and RF systems integration, testing, and support.

    + Physical ability and commitment to global deployment for 6-month rotations.

    + Expertise in electronic schematic design and interpretation.

    + Proficiency in identifying electronic components and characterizing circuits.

    + Mastery of laboratory benchtop equipment (Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, etc.).

    + Solid understanding of RF communications and standard RF measurements.

    DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

    + Familiarity with IED and/or UXS techniques, tactics, and procedures (TTP)

    + Experience collaborating with military organizations, such as EOD units

    + Background in CELLEX, DOMEX, and MEDEX forensics Hands-on experience with IED/UAS electronics

    + Understanding of programming languages (ie. Python, Java, C#, C++).

This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base salary for the advertised job, promotion, or transfer opportunity. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. The actual salary offered may vary based on various factors including but not limited to relevant experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, education, geographic location, as well as internal equity, and alignment to market data.

     

    **Job Type:** Full-time (onsite)

    **Pay Range:** 90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
