Employment Terms: This job is a part time, non-benefited, FLSA non-exempt position in the Engineering, Construction, Manufacturing & Design (ECMD) Division that reports to the Program Support Specialist.
Salary – The targeted hourly rate for this position is $15.60 per hour.
Minimum Qualifications (Job Code H1001):
High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
Some technical college courses in Mechanical Engineering Technology or Electrical Engineering Technology preferred (e.g. MEGT 1010, ECET 1102/1102L, ECET 2102/2102L). Excellent communication skills and a willingness to work directly with faculty, staff and students are required. Open to training and skills development. Through provided training, safely operate complex electromechanical equipment and troubleshoot equipment using digital multimeter, oscilloscope and mechanical measurement tools (micrometers, calipers). Familiarity with proper use of common hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, corded and cordless hand power tools). Competency using Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel and Power Point. Willingness to learn new software associated with automated training equipment for Mechatronics instruction. Ability to be flexible in working conditions, schedules, and be able to lift 15 to 30 lbs. Assist with lab organization and inventory of tools and equipment. We also require the following skills: attention to detail, ability to multitask, stay on top of deadlines, fast learner, training skills, presentation skills, reporting/documenting capabilities, and excellent people skills. Preference will be given to applicants who are current students at Gwinnett Technical College in one of the AM&ET program concentrations.

Operates computers, copiers, and other office equipment; performs routine user preventive maintenance on office equipment. Initiates, composes and accurately types correspondence and administrative documents according to established guideline
