    Workday Reporting and Integrations Lead – University Information Services

     

    Georgetown University is seeking a highly skilled and versatile Workday Reporting and Integrations Lead to join its University Information Services team and help manage and optimize our Workday reporting and Integration landscape. This position will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of custom reports and dashboards in Workday, as well as managing custom integrations from Workday with a variety of internal systems and third-party applications/software.

     

    In this role, the incumbent will work closely with functional partners in Finance, Human Resources, IT, and Cybersecurity to deliver reporting and integration solutions that are scalable, secure, and aligned with university needs and compliance standards. This role serves as a key technical partner and a subject matter expert for Workday tools to business units such as Finance, Human Resources, Payroll and other enterprise systems. The individual will play a critical role in enhancing data accessibility, enabling cross-system interoperability, and supporting institutional decision-making through Workday’s reporting and integration capabilities.

     

    This position requires a strong understanding of both Workday Reporting (Report Writer, Composite Reporting, BIRT, Calculated Fields, Dashboards, Discovery Boards, and Worksheets) and Workday integrations (Core Connectors, EIBs, Studio, REST/SOAP APIs), as well as the ability to translate business requirements into actionable, technically sound solutions. Additional duties include but are not limited to supporting the following:

     

    + Workday Reporting

    + Design, build, and maintain complex custom reports (Advanced, Composite, Dashboards, Discovery Boards and Worksheets) using Workday Report Writer and other advanced Report Writing tools such as Composite Reports and BIRT

    + Partner with Workday functional leads on both HCM and Finance teams to meet complex reporting needs for their respective functional areas

    + Partner with Workday stakeholders across Finance, HR, and other administrative units to lead and drive report requirement discussions. Identify, develop and maintain report catalogs for the respective units.

    + Ensure reports meet institutional data governance, security, compliance, data integrity and privacy policies.

    + Workday Integrations

    + Analyze integration needs and design scalable and reliable solutions that support automation and improve business process efficiency.

    + Design, build, maintain and troubleshoot Workday integrations using tools such as EIBs, Workday Studio, Core Connectors, and Web Services (REST/SOAP APIs).

    + Collaborate with HR, Finance, IT, and Cybersecurity teams to ensure that all integrations meet business, compliance, and security requirements.

    + Monitor integration performance and resolve errors or issues proactively to ensure business process continuity.

    + Strategic & Operational Support

    + Drive continuous improvement of Workday reporting and integration capabilities

    + Maintain technical documentation of reports, dashboards, data definitions, reporting processes, and integrations (including data mapping, configuration, and error-handling procedures)

    + Support Workday releases by assessing impact and implementing necessary updates

    + Serve as a key liaison for reporting and integration needs between Workday team and other internal and external stakeholders.

     

    Work Interactions

     

    The Workday Reporting and Integrations Lead reports to the Director of ERP Reporting and Integrations within University Information Services (UIS). This role collaborates closely with peers in the Workday core team, as well as stakeholders across departments including Human Resources, Office of the CFO, Business Intelligence & Data Analytics, Office of Assessment and Decision System, and UIS. While this position does not currently have direct reports, it may provide guidance to junior analysts or external consultants as needed.

     

    The work performed in this role is critical to ensuring the integrity, accessibility, and secure flow of institutional data. By delivering high-quality reporting and reliable integrations, this position supports operational efficiency, informed decision-making, and compliance across the university. The specialist plays a key role in Georgetown’s continued adoption of Workday’s development and advancements in cross functional services such as reporting and integration, and helps align enterprise systems with university goals for innovation, transparency, and service excellence.

     

    In supporting both functional and technical teams, this role helps foster cross-departmental collaboration and contributes to the broader UIS mission of enabling technology that advances the teaching, research, and service mission of Georgetown University.

     

    Requirements and Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

    + Minimum of 5 years of experience in enterprise systems reporting, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience with advanced Workday report writing using Report Writer, Dashboards, Discovery Boards, Worksheets and BIRT, and integration tools and technologies such as Studio, EIB, XML, XSLT, Web Services (REST/SOAP).

    + Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a complex, matrixed organization.

    + Proven ability to document technical processes and communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders.

    + Demonstrated experience translating business needs into technical specifications for reporting and producing high level data analysis

    + Demonstrated experience creating and maintaining custom integrations, and streamlining data transformation, data exchange, and end to end workflows

    + Knowledge of software development lifecycle and experience with change control and issue tracking tools such as Jira, including the ability to manage and document development tasks, monitor issue resolution, and participate in agile or iterative project workflows.

    + Understanding of enterprise business processes in Finance and Human Resources.

    + Strong project management and communication skills.

    Preferred Requirements:

    + Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

    + Prior experience in higher education or other mission-driven organizations.

    + Workday Reporting and/or Workday Integration Pro Certification.

    + Strong understanding of Workday Security, and role-based access control in an enterprise environment.

    + Familiarity with data visualization or external reporting tools (e.g. Tableau, or Looker).

    Pay Range:

    The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:

    $66,783.00 - $126,720.23

     

    Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
