CTG is seeking to fill a Project Manager – Cloud opening for our client in Houston, TX.

Description:

This specialty is responsible for leading and managing IBM's largest and most complex ADM or Cloud Manage client commitments, ensuring successful delivery of IT, business, and client requirements. The Project Manager – Cloud leads project teams in delivering solutions using appropriate business measurements and terms and conditions. The role is accountable for managing scope, cost, schedule, and contractual deliverables while applying project management techniques for planning, tracking, change control, and risk management.

The Project Manager – Cloud manages project resources and establishes effective communication plans with the team and clients. This position requires strong analytical skills in business and IT challenges, strategic innovative thinking, strategic risk taking, managing complex business outsourcing contracts, advising on large or complex engagements, applying deal-making techniques to complex opportunities, leading development of large/complex deals, and risk management skills. Engagements may involve complex technical, business, financial, and human resources issues, often global in scope with cross-brand services. This role demands exceptional team leadership, business acumen, executive presence, and outstanding judgment.

Duties:

+ Lead large and complex ADM or Cloud Manage engagements to successful completion.

+ Manage scope, budget, schedule, and contractual deliverables.

+ Apply project management methodologies including planning, tracking, change control, and risk management.

+ Oversee project resources and ensure effective communication across teams and with clients.

+ Provide executive-level reporting and ensure alignment with business and IT requirements.

+ Address complex technical, business, financial, and human resource challenges.

+ Drive innovation, strategic thinking, and risk management in project delivery.

Skills:

+ Strong leadership and team management capabilities.

+ Advanced knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.

+ Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills in IT and business contexts.

+ Expertise in risk management and strategic decision-making.

+ Strong client relationship management and executive communication skills.

+ Ability to manage complex outsourcing contracts and large-scale cloud initiatives.

Experience:

+ Proven experience managing large and complex IT or cloud projects, preferably with IBM ADM or Cloud Manage solutions.

+ Experience in global engagements involving cross-brand services.

+ Demonstrated success in managing scope, budget, and schedules for enterprise-level projects.

+ Strong background in business process, IT strategy, and client engagement.

Education:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field required.

+ Master’s degree or PMP certification preferred.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
