    Iconica is seeking a Preconstruction/Estimating Intern to join our team in Summer 2026!

    As a Preconstruction/Estimating Intern, you’ll work closely with our experienced Preconstruction Managers and play an important role in connecting design and construction, gaining hands-on experience in the process. Your responsibilities will include:

     

    + Collaborating with architecture, engineering, and construction teams.

    + Attending pre-bid meetings and visiting project sites.

    + Reading and interpreting project specifications and construction drawings.

    + Using industry-leading software, such as On-Screen Takeoff, Autodesk Assemble, Excel, Revit, Bluebeam, Smartsheet, Plan-Room, and more.

    + Building and maintaining historical cost databases.

    + Coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors to gather and evaluate quotes.

    + Assisting with project schedule and budget preparation.

    Qualified candidates will have the following:

    + Enrollment in an Architectural, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering program or Construction Management program.

    + Previous internship experience in design-build or construction (preferred).

    + Leadership roles in extracurricular activities or student organizations.

    + Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    + High initiative and eagerness to learn.

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
