Job Location: Plymouth, IN Pay Level: 1A * Summary:* Maintain the integrity of Hershey Salty Snacks Inc.'s product quality and safety by ensuring that all bakery equipment, structural and storage facilities, depots, and transportation equipment comply with Good Manufacturing Practices and Federal, State, and local food protection standards. This position will report directly to the Quality Assurance & Food Safety Manager and is responsible for sanitation, environmental monitoring, pest control program, and standards within the facility. * * In addition, the Sanitation QA Supervisor: * Maintains the company’s FSMA Preventive Controls program * Supervises, evaluates, motivates, and directs sanitation initiatives for plant operations and sanitation team members across all shifts * Promotes safety through work procedures, orderly work environments, and employee safety programs * Lead improvement initiatives in all aspects as they relate to sanitation * Responsible for maintaining the integrity and communication of all essential information * Responsible for improvement of the sanitation department and related metrics, including Sanitation Audit Scores, 5s, waste reduction, allergen control, among others * Establish departmental goals and execute improvement initiatives to achieve said goals that align with current business objectives * Provide guidance and leadership in situations where deviations have occurred or a potential risk has been identified * Follows up on corrective actions related to the scope of this job description * Support SQF by maintaining food safety and food quality through completing job tasks and maintaining the work area in a sanitary manner. * Verify and validate all sanitation and pest control processes * Support SQF through the monitoring of incoming services. * Report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action. * Responsible for training of all employees on plant Sanitation requirements, procedures and best practices * Responsible for the development, training and maintenance of all SSOP’s. * Oversee the HAZCOM Chemical Program * Skills and Experience:* * Proven leadership skills and ability to improve the cohesion of the sanitation department with other areas. * Ability to analyze processes with a general understanding of the science that supports items related to sanitation. * Proven leadership skills and ability to improve teamwork within the quality department and other areas. * Good problem-solving skills and corrective action/resolution skills. Experience with Corrective Action Systems and must possess very good organizational skills. * Strong computer skills with experience using Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. * Lean or 6Sigma Certification (Preferred) * SQF Practitioner Certification (Preferred) * HACCP Certification (Preferred) * PCQI Certification (Preferred) * Minimum Requirements and Education:* * Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience * 4+ years of plant sanitation experience in the food or beverage industry #LI-CE1 #LI-Onsite The Hershey Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
