The Opportunity

As the Buyer - YOU will be responsible for purchase order management, supplier development and cost savings. You will also support continuous improvement initiatives.

You will report to the Sourcing and Procurement Manager. On a given day, you may:

+ Manage assigned supply spend utilizing a Total Cost of Ownership methodology.

+ Manage relationships for assigned supply base ensuring understanding of our goals regarding Delivery, Quality, Inventory, Cost, and Risk

+ Conduct negotiations with assigned supply base to support our cost management process

+ Create inventory stocking and replenishment strategy for assigned supply base through data collection/analysis, internal collaborative discussion, and market intelligence.

+ Manage assigned relationships which includes purchase order creation/maintenance, expedites/de expedites, and date acknowledgement.

+ Do vendor onboarding, part number creation and maintenance, and maintenance of planning parameters for all serviced suppliers and replenishment locations

+ Knowledge of purchasing/supply chain/sourcing fundamental processes

+ Experience with data mining and management with Excel (can perform complex functions) .

+ Working knowledge of ERP functionality as it relates to job responsibilities.

+ Focus on teamwork and servicing internal and external customers.

+ High school diploma required.

+ 3 years of procurement, sourcing or supply chain experience

+ Read fabrication and machining prints.
