What's it like working with some of the biggest supercomputers in the world? Exciting! As part of our Engineering & Technology unit with BAE, you will join a team of administrators who support the Navy's DoD Supercomupting Resource Center (DSRC) to ensure networking continues strong at the center. With us, you will have a direct impact on critical systems and the opportunity to work with a diverse set of networking technologies and hardware. Skill development and knowledge growth are constant as you work with a core team of administrators.
We are looking for an experienced Networking Administrator to add their skills to our team supporting the network fabric covering hundreds of small and large systems. With a large share of the DoD's Supercomputing power at the Navy DSRC under the High Performance Computing Modernization Program (HPCMP), networking is a critical piece which must work well. Your work here is valuable.
Primary Responsibilities
+ Install and support LANs, WANs, network segments, internet, and intranet systems.
+ Utilize user access from command line and Web interfaces to configure and troubleshoot issues.
+ Perform network address assignments.
+ Assign routing protocols and routing table configuration.
+ Utilize network monitoring tools such as Splunk and Zabbix to support and provide network operational status on a day-to-day basis.
+ Read and produce network diagrams.
+ Install, configure, and test networking devices. (Rack mount equipment and run appropriate Ethernet / fiber optic patch cables as needed to complete installations.)
+ Analyze and provide problem resolution for IPv4 and IPv6 on all hardware and software elements of the data communication network.
+ Evaluate and report on new technologies to enhance the capabilities of the data network.
+ Adheres to security requirements as directed by the Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) and support high availability demands.
+ Maintain technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, switchers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc.
+ Propose solutions to management to provide data communications requirements based upon current usage and future needs.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
+ Meet DoDD 8570 IAT Level II Requirements
+ Hold a current Security Certification (e.g., CompTIA Security or higher) If do not currently possess, must obtain prior to start date
+ Have a Computing Environment Certification for networking devices (e.g., CCNA) If do not currently possess, must obtain prior to start date
+ Bachelors Degree in Networking or 3 years work experience
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
+ Brocade Core and Edge Switches
+ Juniper Firewalls
+ Arista Switch for the Center Wide File System
+ Running both copper and fiber cables to connect HPC systems, and infrastructure servers
+ Work on classified network systems
+ General knowledge working with CISCO networking technologies
+ Experience with Splunk and Zabbix
+ Working knowledge of ForeScout
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $63662 - $108225
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
