Summary:
+ This position assists and facilitates filling prescription orders for The Heart Group of LG Health patients.
Responsibilities:
+ Answers calls from patients for prescription requests
+ Researches charts and enters prescriptions for physician signature
+ Documents all prescription calls, patient &/or pharmacist questions for doctor review, insurance questions, prior authorizations, and change of medication requests
+ Assists patients with assistance programs as needed
+ Stocks and updates medication in crash carts at THG
Credentials:
Education or Equivalent Experience:
+ H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)
+ Education Specialization:High School diploma or equivalent (GED).Equivalent Experience:•Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and instruction in a fast paced environment.•Ability to maintain confidentiality concerning sensitive patient information.•Excellent interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.
