Job Description Summary

The Executive Defense & Systems Product Line Strategy Leader directs and leads strategy development as it relates to Defense & Systems Product Line needs and owns and/or partners in the execution with the broader Procurement and Supplier Management organization. Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve commercial outcomes. Utilizes understanding of industry trends to inform decision making process.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities include:

+ Provide leadership in the development and translation of the Procurement and Supplier Management strategy into Defense & Systems Product Line impact

+ Work closely with Procurement and Supplier Management commodity partners to build restructuring pipeline

+ Collaborate with customer facing organizations, providing insights on upcoming cost impacts

+ Optimize deal structures to build sustainable productivity

+ Integrate long-range engine and spares forecasts into Procurement and Supplier Management strategy

+ Monitor process, analyze data, and recommend business strategies to minimize business total cost that are aligned to customer needs

+ Partner in commercialization of technology road maps to meet next generation technologies

+ Create and own operating rhythms to align the Defense & Systems Product Lines and Procurement and Supplier Management organization

+ Synthesizing Procurement and Supplier Management requirements from the Defense & Systems Product Lines

+ Developing trade-off studies with impact analysis

+ Leadership of direct team, as well as indirect cross-functional leadership

**Required Minimum Qualifications** :

+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college

+ Minimum of 8+ years of experience in procurement, strategy, or customer facing operations

+ Strong people leadership capabilities, mentoring and coaching the team

**Desired Qualifications and Experience** :

+ Degree in Engineering or Business Administration is preferred

+ Strong business and commercial acumen

+ Experience with deal creation and execution

+ Experience with customers and/or suppliers. Ability to interface, build relationships, and influence all levels and functions within GE Aerospace.

+ Experience with value creation and negotiations

+ Horizontal collaboration, networking and working across matrixed organizations

+ Analytical problem solving

+ Lean and continuous improvement mindset and experience

+ Strong oral and written communication skills
