Summary:
The Infra Supply Chain & Engineering (ISCE) team moves fast and leverages key partnerships to drive technical innovation, high quality standards and cost-savings via a customized supply chain. The Technical Sourcing Manager is the primary technical contact for supplier engagement and will be expected to represent Meta in industry forums. The Technical Sourcing Manager will work closely with the rest of the Commercial Sourcing team to drive the strategic sourcing decisions on a global basis. Working closely with the Engineering Team, the Technical Sourcing Manager will help develop, communicate and implement sourcing strategies and participate in supplier engagements with an overall focus of influencing technology roadmaps, maintaining long term supplier relationships and managing to the lowest total cost of ownership.

Technical Sourcing Manager, Networking Silicon Responsibilities:
1. Develop, manage and refresh individual and customized technology roadmaps that influence sourcing strategies for Network Interface Cards (NICs) and Switch silicon for fabric, spine, frontend and backend networks
2. Develop and maintain technical relationships with executive management at core technology suppliers. Lead the supplier roadmap inter-relationships including all aspects of supply chain (Silicon, Original Design Manufacturer, Original Equipment Manufacturer, and Optical suppliers)
3. Maintain current knowledge of the technology and industry trends for applications in AI/ML and network hardware and perform technical analysis on relevant products
4. Influence supplier technology roadmaps to ensure Meta’s architectural and technical requirements are met, in conjunction with a cross-functional team. Lead the creation and definition of future technology directions with cross-functional partners
5. Provide technical, supplier expertise and consulting to cross-functional partners for technology migration and lower Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
6. Provide technical review and analysis, responses to supplier proposals. Resolve all technical queries arising from the quote process
7. Drive pre-Plan of Record evaluation of key technologies usability/suitability within the Meta infrastructure
8. Own technical expertise in supplier negotiations and provide review/input for product development including statement of work and master supply agreements
9. Develop supplier technical process improvement plans to improve quality, manufacturing scale, cost and time to deployment
10. Partner with other Meta orgs to represent Meta at industry events and forums

11. BS in Electrical Engineering or related technical field or equivalent combination of education
12. 12+ years of technical experience in the cloud service providers, networking silicon/semiconductor industry and associated industries
13. Blend of technical, commercial and operational experience to understand the relationship between technical roadmap, demand/supply, negotiations
14. Experience influencing stakeholders and business partners
15. Knowledge of technology roadmaps and a proven pragmatic approach to influencing product roadmaps
16. Proven experience moving from strategy to execution and delivering results
17. Interpersonal and communication skills with experience influencing, negotiating, building consensus and making strategic decisions
18. Proven experience interfacing with and establishing technical relationships with management at suppliers or customers

19. Masters or Ph.D. degree in Physics or Electrical Engineering
20. 15+ years of technical experience in the networking silicon/semiconductor/systems industry
21. Experience interfacing with internal and external partners in a fast-paced and cross-functional environment, requiring a latitude for judgment while coordinating people and technical resources
22. Experience in cross-functional and industry influence
Public Compensation:
$204,000/year to $281,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
