Summary
The Associate Director of Client Pricing & Procurement is responsible for overseeing the financial aspects of client relationships, ensuring that the company's services are delivered profitably while remaining compliant and mitigating risk. This role requires a deep understanding of both finance and client management, combining financial strategy with relationship development. The Associate Director of Client Pricing & Procurement will work closely with account teams, sales departments, and external clients to optimize profitability, manage risk and ensure financial efficiency across client portfolios.
This position will support our Accounting team. It is eligible to work a hybrid schedule, generally requiring work in-office 3 days per week. This position is based out of Philadelphia, PA.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Client Financial Strategy:
+ Develop and implement financial strategies for client accounts to optimize profitability, cash flow, and growth.
+ Ensure that pricing models, forecasts, and budgets are aligned with company objectives and client needs.
+ Provide financial insights and recommendations to improve account profitability and long-term financial sustainability.
Financial Planning & Analysis:
+ Lead financial planning and analysis for key client accounts, including forecasting support, variance analysis, and reporting.
+ Monitor and analyze revenue, costs, and margins to ensure financial targets are met.
+ Work closely with account teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for client accounts.
Client Relationship Management:
+ Serve as the primary financial/procurement point of contact for key clients, addressing financial concerns, and ensuring transparent communication.
+ Support account teams in client negotiations related to pricing, scope changes, and contract renewals.
+ Develop and maintain strong client relationships to foster trust and long-term partnerships.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
+ Assist in the budgeting process for key client accounts, ensuring that all financial aspects are considered.
+ Provide financial forecasts and projections for client portfolios to assist in company-wide budgeting and planning.
Contract Management & Compliance:
+ Ensure client contracts are financially viable and comply with company policies and legal standards.
+ Oversee billing, invoicing, and collections processes for key accounts to ensure timely payments and revenue recognition.
+ Manage client-related financial risks, ensuring compliance with all financial regulations and company policies.
+ Oversee risk management efforts by reviewing processes and procedures and updating them as necessary to maintain appropriate reviews and gatekeeping strategies.
Team Leadership & Development:
+ Develop a team of client finance analysts and coordinators, providing guidance and support for their professional development.
+ Foster a collaborative environment between finance, sales, and account management teams to ensure client needs are met efficiently.
+ Mentor and develop junior finance team members to improve their financial acumen and client management skills.
Education & Experience
+ Bachelor’s degree preferred, High School Diploma or Equivalent with relevant work experience required
+ Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive experience in client finance, pricing strategy, procurement, or financial planning and analysis.
+ Proven track record of managing financial aspects of client relationships, including pricing models, forecasting, and contract negotiations.
+ Experience leading cross-functional teams and mentoring junior staff in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
+ Strong background in financial compliance, risk management, and contract oversight.
+ Prior experience working closely with sales and account management teams to drive profitability and client satisfaction.
