    Description

    This position will assist with data collection for a study that is examining in-store marketing features (price, promotion) of sugar-sweetened beverages and candy. Starting in 2026, 12 states will prohibit Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) recipients from being able to use their SNAP benefits to purchase specific food products, including sugar-sweetened beverages and candy products. Incumbents will support a statewide study by conducting in-store assessments at retail locations across Georgia.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Successfully complete required data collection training.

    + Conduct in-person store audits at assigned locations throughout Georgia.

    + Upload, manage, and ensure accuracy of collected data.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    + A high school diploma or equivalent.

    + One year of administrative support, customer service or other relevant experience.

    + Data entry experience.

    + Must hold a valid driver’s license and have regular access to a reliable vehicle to conduct fieldwork.

    + Must have a mobile phone capable of collecting and uploading photos.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    + Previous experience conducting in-store assessments is preferred but not required.

     

    NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs. Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department. This role requires residency in the state of GA. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
