Operations Support Technician

The Operations Support Technician is responsible in assuring correct performance of dipping operations by performing daily maintenance, testing, recording, and support operations as needed.
Key Tasks
MAINTAINS DAILY DIP LOG BY:
Preparing, performing, and recording tests for viscosity, pH, and temperature of Pre-dip tanks; preparing, performing, and recording tests for viscosity, pH, and temperature of clear coagulate tanks; preparing performing and recording tests for temperature, viscosity, pH, and wet mill of the neoprene tanks; preparing, performing, and recording tests for temperature, and dissolved solids content of leach tanks; preparing, performing, and recording tests for temperature, viscosity, and pH of neoprene totes. Enters test results in dip lop in the vault and report out of spec results immediately.
MAINTAINS WORKFLOW BY:
Keeping back mandrel tools clean and pre-dipped; emptying, cleaning, and refilling production and auxiliary tanks on a preventive schedule. Rinsing totes for Compounding. Use Kanban cards to ensure inventory levels are maintained. Collect mandrels for weekly production provided by the scheduling. Put away mandrels after weekly change and ensure necks are clean and inspect for damage on mandrels.
SUPPORTS OPERATIONS BY:
Placing totes under a mixer and testing the contents after 30 minutes for the following shift: reporting various test outcomes to correct team members; loading chlorination washer, weighing chlorination washer, washing loads as needed, drying loads, gathering and organizing mandrels, and stocking safety supplies. Generating test data for a variety of purposes which includes but is not limited to research, product development, quality control, engineering, and establishing standards, preparing chemical solutions for use in processing materials, following standardized formulas or experimental procedures as needed, collecting retains for shelf-life assessments, and manages temperature recording in dipping department. Perform testing on thickness samples. Covering lunches when needed and filling in when dipping is short handed to keep production running effectively.
MAINTAINS QUALITY SERVICE BY:
Dipping standard, XL, and mattress backs for production; dipping experimental mandrel tools for testing purposes; keeping error rates minimal and within acceptable ranges; maintaining an efficient work pace; meeting and exceeding all performance measurements: quantity, accuracy, timeliness, and thoroughness of work performed.
