Job Summary and Qualifications
As a Contract Coordinator, you will coordinate the timely process of hospital contracts. You will provide backup documentation, submit initial Reportable Event documentation to Nashville Corporate Ethics and Compliance, and work with personnel in Nashville until Reportable Event has been resolved. You will interact with staff, outside agencies, vendors, physicians, corporate/division staff as well as departments within the facility.
+ You will need to be able to comprehend contract terminology and terms to make decisions regarding the addition or deletion of certain provisions; this involves researching and editing contracts and working with corporate legal counsel when necessary
+ You will manage vendor contracts, approvals, and Meditract contract database
+ You will process all new contracts, renewals of existing contracts and amendments to existing contracts and maintain organized filing system
+ You will maintain Physician Contract Database and Referral Source Contract Control Log or any other tracking logs used for governmental compliance, internal and external audit
+ You will need to be able to comprehend ethics and compliance rules regarding payments to referral sources and to recognize appropriate documentation and remedy incomplete documentation.
+ You will complete or oversee completion of, review and approve payments to referral sources
+ You will interact with contractors and/or departments and Accounts Payable to correct billing errors and to assure appropriate approvals and documentation are attached
+ You will need to be able to comprehend ethics and compliance policies regarding business courtesies and to recognize appropriate and inappropriate examples
+ You will maintain Facility and HCA’s Business Courtesy Logs.
+ You will keep records of all business courtesies extended and gifts in recognition of volunteer efforts
+ You will need to be able to work with all departments on the timely submission of required records and management for the entire facility
+ You will need to initiate monthly reviews with facilities to discuss new and current contracts in process as well as contracts that are due for renewal
What qualifications you will need:
Experience
+ 1-3 experience as an Administrative Assistant
+ Previous healthcare and contract experience - preferred
Education
+ Bachelors Degree, or High School Graduate / GED
