Job Summary and Qualifications

Provide patient care based on a treatment plan as directed by Occupational Therapist. Responsible for all aspects of patient care including plan of care, education of patient/family, communication with physicians, and documentation of patient care. Demonstrates knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served.

Duties include but not limited to:

1. Performs Occupational Therapy interventions ensuring they are thoroughly completed in a timely manner.

2. Documents all therapy interventions according to policy using function scores.

3. Provides patient progress reports to physicians.

4. Attends all planning meetings.

5. Assists with preparation of daily schedules and prioritization.

6. Communication daily with interdisciplinary team.

7. Enters patient charges

What qualifications you will need:

+ Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

+ Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) in the state of Texas

+ Associate Degree from an accredited OTA program

+ A minimum of 1-2 years experience in a rehab setting is required

+ **Must be able to work 2 shifts a month and holiday rotations**
