Summary This is an Open Continuous Announcement. Application in USA Staffing will be qualified based on the resume submitted and qualified candidates will be referred to the hiring manager every 2 weeks until the announcement is closed, cancelled, or filled. This vacancy will be used to fill multiple positions. Responsibilities The PA is responsible for planning, administering, and directing pain care to adult and geriatric patients in the pain clinic. The PA must be poised and articulate in communicating with people of varied educational levels and varied ethnic backgrounds. The incumbent is responsible to ensure that the highest possible quality of care is achieved and that a safe therapeutic environment is provided. The PA follows directives according to the standards of VHA. Administers medication per established policies and guidelines. Participates in the Interdisciplinary Pain Team meetings, Pain over-sight Committee, OSI, Storm, etc. Administrative Because of the highly integrative approach used in community-based outpatient clinics. The employee must work closely with his/her colleagues and must serve as a leader in developing processes to improve care and satisfaction. Research Enrolls patients in active Ambulatory Care research protocols and completes follow-up visits with required studies. VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package. Work Schedule: Mon - Fri 0800 - 1630 Requirements Conditions of Employment All qualified candidates encouraged to apply. Qualifications Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met. Physician Assistant Basic Requirements Master's degree in any discipline or a bachelor's degree in any discipline with one year of experience as a Physician Assistant ~AND~ Successfully passed the PA National Certifying Exam (PANCE) (or are you in the process to taking the exam) ~AND~ Currently hold, or will hold, a full and unrestricted license to practice in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or in the District of Columbia. Education Note: Only education or degrees recognized by the U.S. Department of Education from accredited colleges, universities, schools, or institutions may be used to qualify for Federal employment.
