As a **Security Officer - Distribution Site - Overnight Shift** in **South Bend, IN** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will play a vital role in helping to maintain a secure environment by conducting regular patrols throughout the facility. Your visible presence will help to deter security-related incidents, while your strong communication skills and commitment to exceptional customer service will create a welcoming atmosphere for employees and visitors. You will be responsible for monitoring access points, assisting with badge verification, and responding to security-related situations as they arise. What You’ll Do:

+ Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

+ Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education

+ Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams

+ Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service

+ Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

+ Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the logistics and distribution location, including both the business interior and the perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity.

+ Observe and report any suspicious activities or irregularities during patrols to Allied Universal management and site leadership.

+ Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access.

+ Support site operations by maintaining a visible presence and interacting with staff and visitors in a professional manner.

+ Document and report all security-related incidents, hazards, and maintenance issues as required by site procedures.

+ Participate in ongoing training and adhere to all Allied Universal and client site protocols and procedures.

+ Availability across various days and shifts

+ Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments

+ A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company

+ Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

+ Access control and badge experience is preferred.

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
