As a **Water Resources Project Manager** in Verdantas’ **Philadelphia** office, you’ll manage transformative projects that shape the city’s infrastructure and environmental resilience. From green stormwater retrofits and sewer reconstruction to flood mitigation and utility support, your work will directly impact urban redevelopment and sustainability. You’ll manage projects through all phases, design, permitting, construction, and startup, while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with municipal officials and developers. With a focus on H&H modeling, drainage design, and site grading, this role offers the opportunity to drive innovation in one of the region’s most dynamic engineering environments.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to drive complex projects from concept through completion, keeping sustainability and conservation at the heart of every design. They’ll build strong relationships with municipal agencies while embracing collaboration within the team and delivering exceptional client service in every interaction.

Responsibilities:
+ Manage diverse projects involving multidisciplinary teams
+ Develop and maintain client relationships as primary or secondary client contact for projects
+ Lead in the development of strategy, the scope of work, and the budget for projects
+ Design and oversee the preparation of construction documents, applications for agency review, and/or reports
+ Maintain overall project quality consistent with company and professional standards
+ Plan and execute work tasks, as well as oversee tasks of team members, to meet project deadlines and budgets
+ Solve problems creatively and effectively
+ Communicate effectively and proactively with management, peers, and clients
+ Motivate, mentor, and encourage junior staff and help the team achieve success
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Water Resources Engineering; Graduate degree preferred
+ 7-14 years of experience in Civil, Environmental, or Water Resources Engineering
+ PE Required; Pennsylvania PA preferred
+ AutoCAD proficient, Civil 3D is a plus
+ Understanding of hydrologic and hydraulic principles and models for analysis
+ Experience in Philadelphia strongly preferred
+ Project Management certification preferred
Salary Range:
The compensation range starts at $95,000 and is based on the position, experience, and licensure.
