Summary:
The Healthcare Analyst II will be responsible for analyzing health care electronic medical record and claims data in order to track and trend health care utilization and quality of care for the population health business model. This responsibility requires that the analyst access a complex data base and produce reports for external and internal customers. The reports will be used to monitor health care quality and utilization within the CMP network and to promote clinical integration. The analyst will be required to integrate complex data bases and use the MedInsight tool to create reports to meet our quality and utilization objectives and NCQA accreditation requirements.
Responsibilities:
EDUCATION
+ Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in business, mathematics, statistics, information Technology or health care management related field required
EXPERIENCE
+ Two (2) years relevant experience in actuarial / data analysis or degree in mathematics or 3 year relevant experience in healthcare analytics, preferred
+ Prior experience with Crimson Market Advantage, Crimson Population Risk Management or similar population health tools, preferred
+ Prior experience with Milliman MedInsights, preferred
+ Prior experience with MicroStrategy or other business intelligence application suite/platform, preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
+ Demonstrated ability to use personal computers and associated software applications, specifically Microsoft Office (Word, SQL Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and Crystal reports or other reporting software
+ Experience with development in Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, Integration Services and/or Business Intelligence Studio, preferred
+ Documented ability to translate user request for reports into user accepted final reporting solutions
+ Basic or applied knowledge of issues related to public health, hospitals, physicians, health networks or finance
+ Ability to access and design complex queries and to monitor database to produce actionable information on quality of care
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills
+ Strong interpersonal skillS
