Job Title: Plant Engineer Job Description

The Plant/Process Engineer will be responsible for assisting in the preparation, coordination, implementation, and monitoring of projects and maintenance programs. This includes equipment, building, and grounds maintenance to ensure the capability to manufacture products while meeting budget and forecast requirements.

Responsibilities

+ Manage projects from conception and design through to installation and commissioning within budget limitations.

+ Assist in the administration of a Computerized Maintenance Management System.

+ Contribute to general modification and maintenance tasks and support preventative maintenance programs.

+ Monitor material requirements of the maintenance department to ensure availability of parts and supplies.

+ Interface with production departments to schedule preventive maintenance and major equipment repairs.

+ Assist in coordinating sub-contractor maintenance programs.

+ Coordinate with the Maintenance Manager to adjust process control systems for performance improvements.

Essential Skills

+ Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or a related field.

+ Minimum of 2 years of applied engineering experience.

+ Hands-on experience with capital projects, layouts, installations, and capex management.

+ Proficiency in process engineering and project management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in refrigeration systems is advantageous.

+ Ability to work in a stable environment with potential for career growth into leadership roles.

Work Environment

The position requires a hands-on approach, as the engineer will be actively involved on the plant floor, working closely with the maintenance team. This role is not confined to office-based design work, allowing for dynamic and practical engineering tasks.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34.61 - $34.61/hr.
