    Job Title: Structural Designer (100% Remote)

    Job Description

    We are seeking experienced Structural Designers to join a highly confidential, multiyear initiative for a private Fortune 500 project. The Designer will play a critical role in providing drafting and detailing support for the structural design of the Reactor Building from the preliminary phase through construction documents.

    Responsibilities

    + Prepare 3D Revit structural models and 2D drawings and details of structural building systems.

    + Create definitions of parts, modules, and assemblies using 3D models, 2D cross sections, section details, tolerance stack-ups, and various electronic data formats to support analysis, manufacturing, assembly, tooling, and inspection.

    + Utilize in-depth knowledge of structural disciplines, analytical thinking, and technical experience to execute policy and strategy.

    + Apply knowledge of structural drafting and design best practices, including interfaces with mechanical piping, HVAC, and electrical systems.

    + Collaborate with the BIM coordinator to manage and issue models in the Autodesk Construction Cloud tool while enforcing configuration management plans.

    + Support the Civil Structural Team in 3D model development using Navisworks and Revit.

    + Proficiently use Revit and the Autodesk suite of tools.

    + Employ technical experience and analytical thinking to inform decision-making processes.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in structural design and engineering.

    + Expertise in Revit and Autodesk tools.

    + Experience in structural drafting for heavy industrial, thermal power, nuclear industry, or similar industries.

    + Minimum of 3 years of experience using Revit for structural modeling.

    + An Associate's degree in Structural Design or a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Experience managing project work schedules and priorities.

    + Ability to work proactively with Engineering teams to develop 3D models in the Autodesk Tool suite.

    + Experience working within a team environment to execute work plans and schedules.

    + Competency in Microsoft products and Microsoft Teams.

    + Advanced knowledge of Revit family creation.

    + Experience with Autodesk Inventor, BIM360, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and Autodesk Vault.

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract position based out of Wilmington, North Carolina.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $60.00/hr.
