Job Title: BIM Specialist
Job Description
The BIM Specialist will oversee the Building Information Modeling (BIM) process from team coordination to client deliverables, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and scopes. This role involves managing BIM models for construction, coordinating with various parties involved in the construction process, and assisting in design, planning, and installation alongside field management. Ownership and accountability for these tasks are critical to the successful design, planning, coordination, and installation of commercial construction projects.
Responsibilities
+ Lead electrical projects with advanced facility construction clients, assigning tasks and setting priorities.
+ Monitor progress and ensure quality assurance and quality control of 3D modeling and 2D drawing deliverables in line with VC Standards.
+ Interpret project schedules, budgets, deliverable requirements, and field requests to plan effectively.
+ Coordinate closely with the prefabrication department.
+ Maintain clear communication with Superintendents, Foremen, and Project Managers.
+ Use Revit to produce shop drawings from 3D models and follow company standards for creating shop drawings from 3D model content.
+ Download drawings and information from online platforms such as SharePoint and project websites.
+ Prepare and assemble document sets for transmittal to other parties.
+ Work effectively with Virtual Construction and Prefab team members.
+ Understand and apply client policies and procedures.
+ Transform verbal and written directions into appropriate, working design documents.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
+ Experience with BIM 360, construction documents, and Revit MEP.
+ Strong skills in electrical drafting and creating construction drawings.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience working with construction models and documents.
+ Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
