    GENERAL DESCRIPTION

    The Credit Risk Analyst is responsible for the analysis, review, and summarization of financial and/or loan data in a format conducive to management’s decision-making process and in accordance with applicable regulations and controls. Working under the guidance of the Credit Risk Analyst Manger, performs a wide variety of tasks that require development of a broad knowledge of department operations, policies, and procedures.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES

    + The Credit Risk Analyst works under the direction and guidance of the Credit Risk Analyst Manager to prepare and analyze performance of commercial loans based on cash flow debt service coverage calculations, payment performance, and collateral coverage, making decisions of credit worthiness up to a pre-determined level. This duty is performed daily, about 60% of the time.

    + Prepares annual credit reviews which includes research and analysis of financial statement data, collateral documentation review, compliance review of regulatory guidelines, evaluation of industry trends, and confirms appropriate risk ratings. May consult with commercial lending, underwriting, and loan operations to ensure comprehensive credit reviews. This duty is performed daily, about 20% of the time.

    + Assists the Managing Director of Credit Risk in obtaining information related to area of responsibility associated with annual bank exams and department internal audits. This duty is performed about 10% of the time.

    + Responsible for preparing financial and regulatory reports that are submitted to regulatory authorities and senior management. This duty is performed daily, about 5% of the time.

    + Assists with the performance of financial and covenant tracking maintenance, as requested. This duty is performed about 5% of the time.

    + Maintains regular and reliable attendance, punctuality and personal appearance. Reads, writes, and communicates in a clear and efficient manner via various types of correspondence, such as, in person, phone, email, letters, etc. Adheres to all company policies and procedures, as well as all applicable banking rules, regulations, and laws (including BSA/AML).

    + Performs any other related duties as required or assigned.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

    + High School Diploma or GED

    + College degree in Finance, Business, Accounting or Economics, or related field and/or relevant work experience is required.

    + Must possess the knowledge and analytical skills to perform essential functions of the positon. Detail oriented.

    + Regular use of desktop/laptop computer and basic operating systems.

    + Basic experience with alphanumeric data entry, PowerPoint, Excel, and word processing.

    + Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.

    + Semi-repetitive and low physical activities.

    + While performing the functions of this job, the employee is frequently required to use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; regularly required to sit; and occasionally required to stand, walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
