Description

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This role is pivotal in maintaining accurate financial records, analyzing data, and contributing to the overall financial strategy of the organization. Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Manage the month-end close process, ensuring all deadlines are met.

• Review and maintain general ledger accounts, verifying associated transactions.

• Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations to ensure efficient workflows.

• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial reports promptly.

• Record monthly journal entries and reconcile accounts to maintain accurate records.

• Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and support.

• Contribute to ad hoc financial projects and analyses as needed.

• Allocate expenditures to appropriate accounts following company policies.

• Provide coaching and guidance to accounting staff to enhance team performance.

Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience in a detail-oriented environment.

• Proficiency in month-end close processes and general ledger management.

• Strong skills in preparing journal entries and performing account reconciliations.

• Experience with financial reporting, including annual reporting requirements.

• Familiarity with accounting software, such as NetSuite, is highly preferred.

• Ability to conduct ad hoc financial analysis and reporting.

• Knowledge of mergers and acquisitions (M& A) processes is a plus.

• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
