    Job Title: Custodial Supervisor

    Job Description

    The Custodial Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the custodial staff and ensuring that all assigned facilities are maintained to the highest standards. This position requires close collaboration with the Manager of Custodial Services to meet the custodial needs and uphold quality assurance standards.

    Responsibilities

    + Maintain close contact with the Manager of Custodial Services to discuss the custodial needs for assigned facilities.

    + Conduct frequent physical inspections of facilities to ensure all services are provided as directed.

    + Participate in the quality assurance program as implemented by the Manager of Custodial Operations.

    + Oversee and ensure the proper use and care of equipment and supplies.

    + Assist in the development of guidelines for standards in custodial and other programmed activities.

    + Coordinate and perform departmental responsibilities relating to special events and daily function setups.

    + Supervise the bargaining unit custodial staff in assigned buildings.

    + Assist with personnel management, including interviewing prospective staff, disciplining and coaching employees, and upholding personnel guidelines.

    + Compute and document weekly employee work hours and monitor employee attendance.

    + Provide training to employees both one-on-one and in group settings.

    + Foster a working environment of inclusiveness and respect, promoting good employee morale.

    Essential Skills

    + Five years of experience in facilities operations or custodial services.

    + Supervisor experience.

    + Strong oral and written communication skills.

    + Problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions independently.

    + Ability to maintain a positive, professional relationship with subordinates.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High School Diploma or graduation equivalent.

    + Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

    + Experience with janitorial, housekeeping, and general maintenance.

    + Inventory management skills.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $27.00/hr.
