Job Description
**Saint Luke's Administrative Fellowship** offers an exciting opportunity for emerging leaders who want to shape the future of health care. This unique program, **directly overseen by the Planning and Project Management executive for BJC's West Region** (Saint Luke's - Kansas City), offers experiences in both strategy and operations at a Regional and Enterprise level within BJC. Applications are due by September 30, 2025 at 11:59pm.
This 12-month fellowship provides opportunities to:
+ **Support and facilitate the strategic planning process** for various hospital-based, ambulatory, and clinical service line initiatives
+ **Lead the implementation of high-priority operational projects** that drive achievement of Enterprise Priorities
+ **Gain broad exposure across a complex health system** , including observing clinical operations, system-level strategy development, and shared services functions such as Finance, HR, IT, etc.
+ **Collaborate with leaders and teams** across the health system - including Peer Fellows in BJC's East (St. Louis) Region
+ **Receive personalized mentorship and professional development** in preparation for future roles in health care administration
By the end of the year, fellows will have built a strong foundation in strategic thinking, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration - supporting them in the next phase of their health care career.
Job responsibilities include:
+ Develops knowledge, skills, and practical experience related to Strategic Planning and Project Management in the health care industry
+ Manages development, execution, and completion of high-priority projects within the PMO
+ Collaborates on projects with cross-functional leaders and teams
+ Develops management and leadership skills by interacting with executive leaders
+ Participates in various observation and shadowing opportunities to learn within a complex health system
+ Demonstrates ability to synthesize information (qualitative and quantitative) and produce meaningful insights and recommendations
+ Contributes directly to written deliverables (business cases, slide decks, meeting facilitation materials, etc.)
Ideal candidates:
+ Are recent graduates or early-career professionals (as of start date) with a Master's degree in Health Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, or a related field.
+ Strong communicators who are analytical, adaptable, and passionate about improving health care delivery.
+ Curious learners who are excited to engage with leaders, ask questions, and take initiative on high-priority projects.
